The Celta Figo forward is, accoridng to 'Marca', one of the players that Barcelona would most like to sign this summer. The club are eager to boost their attacking options, particularly given Philippe Coutinho's poor form and Luis Suarez's advancing years.
Gomez currently has a 50 million euro buy-out clause at Celta Vigo, but should the club be relegated, this price would be sliced in half. But there is one problem for Barcelona - they have already filled their quota of three non-EU players.
Arthur, Aruto Vidal and Malcom currently occupy those places, and should the club sign Gomez, one of these would have to leave. Arthur seems certain to continue, meaning Barcelona need to choose between selling Arturo Vidal or Malcom.
