The countries with most World Cups

Brazil were crowned champions in Sweden (1958), Chile (1962), Mexico (1970), USA (1994), and South Korea/Japan (2002). Germany won the trophy in Switzerland (1954), when they hosted in 1974, in Italy (1990) and in Brazil (2014).
The last time the World Cup was played in Asia, the South American side, led by Ronaldo, won it, after winning the Yokohama final 2-0, thanks to a brace from the Brazilian superstar.
Italy, one of this edition's biggest absences, is the other side to have four titles, won at home in 1934, in France (1938), in Spain (1982), and in Germany (2006).
Uruguay, the first winners in history won at home in 1930, won their second in Brazil (1950), after coming out on top in the famous 'Maracanazo' game in front of the home crowd (2-1).
Argentina have also got two titles to their name after winning at home in 1978, and in Mexico (1986); which is the same as France, who won as hosts in 1998 and the last tournament in Russia (2018).
England also have one title, after winning at home too in 1966 after beating West Germany 4-2, and Spain, who beat The Netherlands 1-0 in the Soccer City stadium in Johannesburg in South Africa in 2010.
