With just seven months to go until the start of the Euros, the field has now become clearer. Wales were the last country to qualify automatically for the tournament which will be in summer.
It only remains to be seen which teams will qualify via the play-offs and those four teams will join the other 20 at the 12 country Euros.
The 20 teams and the pots
Wales secured the final automatic berth thanks to victory over Hungary in Cardiff. An outstanding Aaron Ramsey was the difference with two goals and Gareth Bale got an assist for the first one.
The teams are (in position order): England and Czech Republic from Group A; Ukraine and Portugal from Group B; Germany and Holland from Group C; Switzerland and Denmark from Group D; Croatia and Wales from Group E; Spain and Sweden from Group F; Poland and Austria from Group G; France and Turkey from Group H; Belgium and Russia from Group I; Italy and Finland from Group J. We also know who are the top seeds and in which pot each team will be in.
Pot 1: Belgium, Italy, Germany, England, Spain and Ukraine.
Pot 2: Francia, Poland, Switzerland, Croatia, Russia and Holland.
Pot 3: Portugal, Turkey, Austria, Denmark, Czech Republic and Sweden.
Pot 4: Wales, Finland and the four teams which come through the play-offs.
The play-offs
16 teams will take part in the play-offs. There will be four paths of four teams. Each path will have two semis and final and the winner of each final will make Euro 2020.
Path A: Iceland plus three others to be drawn
Path B. Bosnia, Slovakia, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland
Path C: Scotland, Norway, Serbia and one team to be drawn
Path D: Belarus, Kosovo, Macedonia and Georgia.
One of Bulgaria, Israel, Romania and Hungary will go into Path C, the rest will be in Path A.
The Euro groups so far
As hosts must play the group stage at home and each group has automatically been assigned two stadia, we now what groups some of the teams will be in:
Group A (Baku and Rome): Italy
Group B: (St Petersburg and Copenhagen): Belgium, Russia and Denmark
Group C: (Amsterdam and Bucharest): Ukraine and Holland
Group D: (London and Glasgow): England
Group E: (Bilbao and Dublin): Spain and winner of Path B play-off
Group F: (Munich and Budapest): Germany
