Ter Stegen wins Barca's first Zamora trophy since 2014

Although Barcelona let themselves go a bit at the end of the season, conceding nine goals in their last five games, Marc-Andre ter Stegen remained the goalkeeper who had conceded the fewest goals all season.
The German only conceded 18 times this year, and Xavi only took him off twice, first at Valladolid and then at Vigo, to give Inaki Pena more playing time and keep Ter Stegen in the record books.
For the coach of the Catalan side, the objective was clear after securing the title: concede as few goals as possible. But a slightly lax defense and several errors, with penalties given away made the task a tricky one.
Ter Stegen nevertheless managed to end the season with 26 clean sheets and an average of 0.47 goals conceded/match, equalling the record set by Paco Liano with Deportivo de la Corona in 1993-94. It's also the same average as Jan Oblak in 2015-16 with Atletico.
