Porzuna are fed up with the lack of PCR in grassroots football and held a very striking protest in the Primera Autonómica de Castilla La Mancha: they turned up for a match with seven players and lost it 25-0. Their intention was to draw attention to themselves to demand more testing and they managed to get on everyone's lips.
Several media outlets reported on the heavy defeat of the team, which, although they faced the duel in clear numerical inferiority, gave their all on the pitch. Being with four players less, the opponents did not stop and scored goals in practically every move.
The reason why the club didn't opt to not turn up directly was that, if they didn't, they could have been expelled from the competition. This would make them run the risk of going bust, something that the squad can't afford. It's the players that put their money to keep the team running.
Porzuna had already echoed the lack of PCR testing in grassroots football on more than one occasion. On their official Twitter account, they expressed on various occasions their message ("without tests you can't compete") and echoed the various news about their hard fall that were filling the sports news.
