To put some context, you have to remember that Bayern were starting this matchday, the penultimate one, four points ahead of Borussia Dortmund. With just six points left to play for, a victory (o a loss for Dortmund), would have made them champions.
It was quite likely Bayern would have been champions if they went in front against Leipzig early on, but this did not happen and at the beginning of the second half, there was a very tense moment.
The minutes of madness started when Fink of Fortuna Dusseldorf made it 1-1 in the 47th minute against Borussia Dortmund. This combined with the 0--0 in Leipzig-Bayern would have been enough for Bayern to become champions.
It got even better for Kovac's men when Goretzka scored in the 50th minute. Those three points would have put them six ahead with just one game left...
But their joy was short lived. The VAR disallowed Goretzka's goal for offside (reducing the gap back to four points) and straight afterwards, Delaney made it 2-1 at Signal Iduna Park. This then put Dortmund just two points off the lead and leaving everything wide open.

Fate did not want it to be decided before the last day and that was emphasised when Dusseldorf got a penalty in the 59th minute which could have given Bayern the titl, but Lukebakio missed from the spot.
