"Sevilla? I'd rather stay at Barça, it would be fantastic"

Luuk de Jong is playing for Barcelona on loan from Sevilla. The 31-year-old Dutch striker arrived at the Camp Nou at the start of the season after two years at Sevilla.
The former PSV player, scorer of the winning goal against Levante, still has one more year left on his contract with Sevilla, but he has no hesitation in admitting that he prefers to stay at Barça. He has already scored seven goals in 23 official matches, ten of them as a starter.
Speaking to 'Ziggo Sport', De Jong said: "After this season, I will look at my options. I still have to see what offers come in, but I think any player would say he would prefer to stay at Barcelona. For me, it would be fantastic. I've said it before: I'll see if something comes along, but now I'm working to finish a good season and then I'll see what's next".
Furthermore, the Netherlands international acknowledged that he has adapted perfectly to the role assigned to him by Xavi Hernández, the Barça coach: "You have to fit in like that and it's fantastic that, when you understand your role, it's at a club like Barcelona".
"I know what I can and cannot do well. If the team adapts to that and gives such fantastic crosses, I strengthen my qualities. That's how it is. In training I notice that the level is really very high, but that's what makes you grow as a player," said De Jong.
