Schmeichel and Ferdinand disapprove of Casemiro's move to United

Casemiro has yet to play for Manchester United and his signing has earned him some criticism. Not him in particular, but the club, from some legends who wore the Mancunian shirt.
They are Rio Ferdinand and Peter Schmeichel. Neither the defender nor the goalkeeper thinks the Brazilian midfielder will solve all of Ten Hag's problems.
"His name was not mentioned until now as a possible target for United, I have doubts about his adaptation. At Real Madrid he won everything and is an exceptional player, but I have doubts about his role with the Red Devils. He will have to control the game and deliver a lot of passes. At Madrid, he was mainly protecting the defence," Schmeichel told 'Football Focus'.
The former goalkeeper also spoke to the 'BBC:' "I'm surprised we signed him. To sign that player now for that amount of money, and with that salary, with his age, without knowing if he's going to perform well... maybe we should sign someone who we know can play in the Premier League.
Ferdinand is also doubting. " Together with the price and the fact that he is one of the highest paid in the squad, the figure will be close to €100m. If the club makes a profit on that, they will have been lucky," he told the 'Vibe' podcast.
