Sarri wants to keep Batshuayi at Chelsea despite Valencia interest

The Belgian striker had a difficult start to life as a Chelsea player despite having an impressive repuation when he arrived from Marseille.
Following the arrival of Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud to Stamford Bridge, the Belgian striker went on loan for the second half of last season to German club Borussia Dortmund, where he managed to score 9 times in 14 appearances in all competitions.
That form managed to earn him a place in Belgium's World Cup squad, and also seems to have convined Sarri that the 24 year-old needs to be kept at the 'Blues'.
Rumours that he would be allowed to leave for Valencia on loan now seem to be unlikely to happen according to the 'Evening Standard', especially with Chelsea missing out on the signing of Gonzalo Higuain who is poised to join AC Milan.
However, it does seem as though one of the squad's strikers will be moved on this summer, with Olivier Giroud looking to be the most likely candidate.
The World Cup winner did play regularly at the end of last season, but as he approaches his 32nd birthday it seems as though Sarri will opt to keep the more youthful Morata and Batshuayi ahead of Giroud, who has attracted interest from Marseille.
