Three footballers from the English national team, Ben Chilwell, Jadon Sancho and Tammy Abraham, broke coronavirus rules to celebrate Abraham's birthday, according to 'The Sun'.
These footballers attended a surprise birthday party for Abraham which saw more than 20 people attend. But Southgate has decided to end their punishment after the Wales game, unlike what happened to Greenwood and Foden the month before. They invited two girls into the team's hotel in Iceland.
Chilwell, Sancho and Abraham will not play against Wales this Thursday (21:00), but they are expected to be available against Belgium (11th October) and versus Denmark (14th October) which are Nations League games.
Southgate: 47 players called up and too many full backs
Southgate has now called up a total of 47 players since he became the England coach. 36 of them were new to the national team. The coach arrived in 2016.
"It's marvellous to see the joy and the reaction of the new players called up. It takes you back to when you started playing football, something that we sometimes forget. Being an international player is the pinnacle of any player's career and it's lovely to remember it with them," he explained in the press conference.
On the other hand, it is worth pointing out that there are too many full-backs for England. Players like Alexander-Arnold, Ben Chilwell, Reece James, Wan-Bissaka, Jamal Lewis, at the highest level and which increase the difficulty of making a place for himself in a difficult position.
