The Forbes magazine has published its list of the world's highest-paid athletes. They published the earnings of 100 athletes. Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are on the top of the ranking.

The Portuguese star earns €88 millions this year thanks to his salary and endorsements. This makes him the number one on the list of the best paid athletes in the world.

The number two on the list is Lionel Messi. The Argentine earns €81.4 million per year.

The other athletes who appear in the Top 5 play in the NBA and the ATP. Lebron James is number three, Roger Federer number four and Kevin Durant is number five.

Only two women appear in the Top 100: Serena Williams (number 40) and Maria Sharapova (number 88).
