"Registrations? I'm not happy with the situation, but I trust the club"

Having conquered all domestic honours last season, FC Barcelona begin their league title defence this Saturday against Mallorca. An away fixture that is overshadowed by uncertainty surrounding player registrations, as neither Joan García nor Marcus Rashford, the two main summer signings, are yet listed on LaLiga's website.
As is customary before matches, Hansi Flick, the 'Cule' coach, addressed the press to preview the upcoming fixture, with the registered players being one of the key talking points. The German, while calm, expressed some frustration at the unresolved issue just hours before the game.
"It's a situation that doesn't make me happy. I trust the club, but we have to wait until tomorrow. We went through something similar last season. For now, we're focusing on what's within our control," the manager began.
Flick then discussed the Catalan club's transfer activity, highlighting the signing of Joan García and the departure of ÍÑIGO MARTÍNEZ as the main talking points. "Joan is a fantastic goalkeeper, like Szczesny. I am happy with the goalkeeping situation. Regarding ÍÑIGO, I'm not happy he's leaving because he's a fantastic player with great personality. He was a player who really helped the rest of the squad. I greatly valued coaching him; he has been exceptional as a player and as a person," he stated.
Delving deeper into the goalkeeping situation, Flick also commented on Ter Stegen, whose contract dispute has been a major talking point. "The most important thing is that we talk together and that he can return to playing at the extremely high level he possesses. He needs to recover and come back, that's the most important thing," he added.
The manager also spoke about the situations of Marc Bernal and Fermín, while praising Lamine Yamal, who is tipped to become the leader of the project. "Marc is on the right track. If he needs a few more weeks to be ready, that's fine. Fermín is coming off a spectacular season. We have a lot of quality in several positions, and I have to manage that. Regarding Lamine? I'm very happy with what I'm seeing in training, how he presses... Goals aren't the most important thing; what matters is the team winning," he indicated.
Furthermore, the German spoke generally about what he expects from his second season in Barcelona and the club's objectives after securing the league, Copa del Rey, and Spanish Super Cup last term.
"We'll see what happens in this second season. We are working extremely hard, and the quality in training is what I expect to see on the pitch. The three titles are not the end goal; we need to progress. We're focused on winning every match. This winning mentality is what I want. We are on the right track," he explained.
Finally, Flick declined to comment on the possibility of facing Villarreal in Miami. "That hasn't been confirmed yet, and I don't want to think about it. I want to focus on each match, and right now, it's Mallorca," he concluded.
