Referee from Euro 2024 final to officiate Barca v Benfica UCL clash

Francois Letexier has been put in charge by UEFA for the Champions League last 16 second-leg clash between Barcelona and Benfica, set to kick-off at 18:45 CET on Tuesday at the Estadio Olimpico Lluis Companys.
This is the second time the 37-year-old officiates the Catalans this season, as he was also the referee when Hansi Flick's side beat Borussia Dortmund 2-3 at the Signal Iduna Park on matchday six of the league phase.
The French Football Association referee has also officiated a Benfica match before. It was on the occasion of the Portuguese's 3-0 win over Standard Liege in the group stages of the 2017/18 Europa League.
Other big fixtures officiated by Letexier were the Euro 2024 final between Spain and England, won by De la Fuente's by 2-1, the 2023/24 UEFA Super Cup, which saw City triumph over Sevilla, and two French Cup finals.
