Real Madrid is back at the top of LaLiga. Carlo Ancelotti's side needed a win to gain the lead although Real Sociedad will have a new opportunity to keep their first place in their visit to Osasuna. Karim Benzema and Toni Kroos scored to secure the three points for 'los blancos' as Rayo Vallecano couldn't make it to equalise the game despite Radamel Falcao's 2-1.
Kroos put their team ahead after 14 minutes with a good finish after receiving thee ball from Vinicius Junior. VAR had to check the action, but later confirmed it was legal, so the German could celebrate. He did it with big pleasure since he's not used to be the one scoring the goals.
Before half-time, Karim Benzema appeared to double the advantage thanks to a great cross from David Alaba. Both of them are being key players in 'merengue' team, with the ex Bayern defender being a very good signing after a few solid weeks of good performances.
Radamel Falcao, who couldn't end the game due to an injury, chipped in the 2-1 with a great header and forced Real to defend their way through the win with 13 minutes still left on the clock. Anyway, victory stayed in Santiago Bernabéu and Madrid are already looking forward to a hypothetical Real Sociedad loss in Pamplona.
