Real Madrid to listen to VAR audios from Espanyol match on Monday

Real Madrid will finally be able to listen to the VAR audios of the match against Espanyol. After the statement in which they pointed directly to the referees, and in which they asked to listen to the conversations, the Spanish Federation has finally agreed.

As reported by ‘COPE’, representatives of the Spanish team will go to the CTA headquarters on Monday morning to listen to the audios. The RFEF has agreed to do so, but not to send them as Real Madrid's request stated.

The intention of the 'Merengues' was to have the audios to analyse what the referees said to each other in the two controversial plays they are claiming, the red card to Carlos Romero after a hard tackle on Mbappe and the disallowed goal to Vinicius for a foul, precisely, by Mbappe in which he asked for a penalty.

The match between Espanyol and Real Madrid ended in victory for the ‘Pericos’ precisely thanks to a goal by Carlos Romero. This action took place after the hard tackle that the 'Merengues' are claiming as a red card.

Numerous voices have spoken out since then, in favour of Real Madrid and against the club for the statement. But it has not been until now that the RFEF has given the green light to listen to the audios.

In this way, the Spanish Federation is partly satisfying Real Madrid, as they will be able to listen and analyse in person what the referees said to each other in the most controversial play of the match.
