Real Madrid open to extending Rudiger deal beyond 2026

Antonio Rudiger has been the main pillar supporting Real Madrid's defence this season, even though he has not been the ‘Merengues’ strong point this season.
'Los Blancos' shaky defense could have been a much bigger problem this season if not for the German, whose good performances are making the absences of Dani Carvajal and Eder Militao less noticeable.
This has led Real Madrid's board to make an exception for the German international, changing their policy on renewals for players over 30 years old.
'Los Blancos' only offer one-year renewals to players over 30, as has been seen in the cases of Modric, Kroos, Carvajal, Nacho, among others. But according to Sky Sports, the club is willing to offer Rudiger a new contract until 2028.
Despite rumours of an alleged Saudi Arabian interest in the German centre-back, the truth is that his main priority is to remain at Real Madrid, where he feels happy and comfortable.
