The Welshman will join the club on a free transfer, having been able to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with clubs in Europe permitted to sign Premier League players in the final six months of their contract. Ramsey's transfer is expected to be announced in February, with the move itself taking place in June. It is reported that his medicals have taken place over the past few days, and that the contract itself will be worth more than £200,000 a week, including bonuses.
Despite playing an important role in the club's recent FA Cup success - he scored the winner in the 2014 and 2017 finals - Ramsey has been told that he does not feature in manager Unai Emery's long term plans. 'Sky Sports News' revealed in October that the pair had held formal conversations on the decision, and that it was even detailed to Ramsey why his current contract would not be renewed.
There has been interest in the 28-year old from a host of big European clubs, including Bayern Munich and PSG, but Juventus has proved to be his preferred destination. He joins a team nine points clear in Serie A, and fresh off the back of Wednesday's Italian Super Cup triumph over AC Milan.
