Possible lineups for Atletico v Man City clash

Manchester City will face Atletico Madrid on Sunday at 13.00 CEST at the Seoul World Cup Stadium for a pre-season friendly.

The two teams have only met three times - twice in the Champions League in the 2022/23 season and once in 1976 for the Trofeo Colombino - and will test themselves in a friendly in Seoul.

In a press conference ahead of Manchester City's pre-season match against Atletico, Pep Guardiola spoke about the recently departed Riyad Mahrez, who has signed for Saudi side Al Ahli, and discussed the growing numbers of players making the move to the Gulf state.

"Incredible skills and technical ability. I enjoyed as a manager to be with him. I had a special relationship with him," he told reporters.

Meanwhile, the Spanish side have given Joao Felix an ultimatum. If he wants to leave this summer, he will have to publicly apologise for his comments about always wanting to go to Barcelona.

Both teams have problems with their squads but will try to put them behind them to show their best performances on the pitch.

Atletico Madrid possible starting lineup: Grbic (GK); Azpilicueta, Savic, Soyuncu, Galan; Saul, De Paul, Koke, Lino; Griezmann, Morata.

Manchester City possible starting lineup: Ederson (GK); Walker, Akanji, Laporte, Ake; Rodri, Kovacic; Silva, Foden, Grealish; Haaland.
