Pedri re-injured, set to miss Almeria clash

Pedri Gonzalez is injured again. The Barcelona midfielder felt some discomfort in the last training session before the La Liga match against Almeria and, after a medical examination, it was discovered that he has a muscle strain.

As a result, Xavi Hernandez will not be able to count on him either for the match against the Andalusians and for the American tour against America. According to reports in Spain, the 21-year-old's injury is not serious but the Catalan side prefer not to risk him so that his injury does not get worse.

The former Las Palmas player will be back for the start of 2024, just in time for the Catalan giants to face the Spanish midfielder's former team. As the match will take place in Gran Canaria, they need Pedri in all his glory.

Just a few days later, Barcelona face Barbastro in the Copa del Rey. In principle, this challenge is less demanding for the squad, so Xavi could opt to rest Pedri to face Osasuna in the Spanish Super Cup.
