Patrick Ekeng dies during Dinamo Bucharest game

This is a great sadness for all football fans across the world. The former Cordoba footballer, Patrick Ekeng, passed away after suffering sudden cardiac arrest during Dinamo Bucarest's home game against Viitorul Constanta. Ekeng was brought onto the pitch in the second-half and collapsed after playing just seven minutes.
Medical assistance quickly attended to the 26-year-old and he was taken straight to hospital, however the staff were unable to resuscitate him. Supporters of the Romanian club gathered outside the hospital late into the night to express their grief at the player's death.
"Resuscitation attempts were made for an hour and half without success," the Dinamo team doctor Liviu Paltinean told reporters.
The club executive director and former player Ionel Danciulescu said, "I can't believe it. It's a nightmare. For me, for the team and for all Dinamo supporters. It's too much,"
