Elche didn't do their homework in the now gone transfer window, so at the Martínez Valero they are continuing to evaluate their options in order to increase the level of the squad.
The club still have three free spots in the squad and they hope that one of them will be occupied by Pablo Piatti, who already knows La Liga after playing for Valencia, Espanyol and Almería.
The Argentine attacker was at Toronto last season, but his contract ended in January, so he is currently without a team.
In the 19 games Piatti played for the MLS side, he scored four goals and got three assists and, at the age of 31, is threatening to make a comeback in Spain's top flight.
