In recent days a lot has been spoken about the possible departure of Mesut Ozil from Fenerbahce. Several Turkish media outlets published that the 33 year-old midfielder wanted pastures now due to a lack of regular game time.
The former Real Madrid player, whose contract runs until 2024, has played 641 minutes in 11 matches, eight of them as a starter. He has scored three goals and given an assist, but Ozil apparently wants more. According to media outlets in the country, the player has thought about a possible departure in January.
The player's agent, Erkut Sogut, has now wanted to deny this information. In comments to 'Fanatik', the agent said: "It's absolutely false that Mesut called me on Thursday at half-time in the game to ask me to look for a club."
"Mesut has a contract until 2024 and his plan at Fenerbahce is not to just see out his contract. He wants to have an important role after his contract atthe club," Sogut added to put an end to rumours.
