OFFICIAL: Saliba extends Gunners contract

After Bukayo Saka, Gabriel, Gabriel Martinelli, Aaron Ramsdale and Reiss Nelson, William Saliba has extended his contract in London. Available from the summer of 2024, the Frenchman could have left Arsenal in a year's time, but the English club have done everything in their power to keep him.

A real defensive stalwart, the French international was of great interest to other Premier League clubs, and that is one of the reasons why Mikel Arteta's team moved so quickly.

Although the length of this agreement has not been leaked, it is expected to run until 2027, three years longer than his current contract. Journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that the agreement also includes an option until 2028.

The 22-year-old made 33 appearances this season before suffering an injury in March.
