The Osimhen soap opera is over. After staying at the Italian club on the last day of the transfer window, despite interest from Al Ahli and Chelsea, the Nigerian striker finally stayed at Napoli.
It was the Italian club who confirmed the striker's loan move to Galatasaray until the end of the current season. It is worth remembering that the transfer window in Turkey was still open, but not in the five big leagues.
Minutes later, Galatasaray said: ‘An agreement has been reached with professional footballer Victor James Osimhen and his club SSCN Napoli SPA on a season-long loan of the player.
Victor Osimhen will be paid around 9 million euros, according to Galatasaray's own announcement of his arrival.
The deal ties Osimhen until June 2025, with no option to buy. In addition, Napoli have an option to extend his contract until June 2027 and the new release clause for the Nigerian player will be 75 million euros.
