OFFICIAL: Marcelo, new Olympiacos player

It's official: Marcelo has found a new team. After not renewing his contract with Real Madrid, the Brazilian full-back reached an agreement to become Olympiacos' new signing for the 2022-23 season.
"A true football LEGEND joins OLYMPIACOS! Welcome MARCELO to Piraeus," said the Greek club, through an official statement published on their social networks.
The Greek club's board did not yet specify details of his contract, but Fabrizio Romano said the experienced 34-year-old defender arrived on a free transfer and signed for just one season.
Olympiacos will thus become the third club in the career of the Brazilian international, who took his first steps in Fluminense and became a football legend with Real Madrid.
Marcelo left the 'Merengue' club after having become the club's most decorated player in their history and will now start a new adventure in one of the biggest clubs in the Greek League.
His arrival at Olympiacos will undoubtedly mark a milestone in Greek football, which has not had a player of this importance for a long time. With his signing, the intention of his new team is to make a strong comeback in Europe.
