It had seemed that the waters had calmed in regards to Atlético's goalkeeper. Jan Oblak's fallout with Atlético Madrid after unkept promises from the club was history, with his contract renewal helping to bury the hatchet.
However, this may now not be the case. 'ESPN' are reporting that Oblak wants to leave, citing sources close to the player. Furthermore, they suggest that the player would prefer a move to Manchester United over PSG.
His main reason for wanting to leave is his poor relationship with the club's management, who have made multiple promises to Oblak that they have not kept.
Despite all this, the keeper signed a new deal last April, extending his contract at the club until 2023 and increasing his release clause to 120 million euros.
It seems that Oblak is also doubtful of Atleti's abiltiy to compete next season, especially as they have decided to let go stars such as Antoine Griezmann, Diego Godín and Lucas Hernandez. The Slovenia international now reportedly wants to find a club capable of competing for trophies and success - something that seems unlikely given Atlético's current situation.
