"Now it's going to be our fault for Gerrard's slip..."

Manchester City are keeping an eye on possible sanctions following the Premier League's four-year investigation into Financial Fair Play irregularities.

Pep Guardiola, in the press conference before the match against Aston Villa, spoke precisely about it. The man from Santpedor hopes that there will be no such sanction. And one of many could be the loss of all the titles won between 2009 and 2017.

"I don't know if we are responsible for Steven Gerrard's slip in 2014.... We deserve the titles. Absolutely, they belong to us. Regardless of what is happening, they belong to us," he told a press conference.

Guardiola explained that "the Premier League will decide". "I know what we won and the way we won it. With the effort we put in, just because of something that happened in 2009 or 2010, it's not going to change for a second," he added, visibly annoyed.
