In an interview with 'SportBild' ahead of the game, the Germany international hit out at elements of the press for their treatment of Neymar and sought to set the record straight regarding the Samba star.
"I don't know why there is a new story every day about Neymar in the press: about if he's going to join Real Madrid, if he's going to return to Barcelona. The only thing I can say is that I don't know what he is doing or will do," Trapp explained.
"None of his PSG team-mates are sick of Neymar. On the contrary, we're happy he plays for PSG.
"It's clear that at PSG we miss Neymar a lot and it much be the same for his national team. He has incredible quality that can take any side to another level. He has made the difference on so many occasions."
Finally, Trapp insisted that he maintains a good relationship with the forward, who is still recovering in his homeland following surgery. "We get on very well and go out together. Despite all the hype around him he is still keeping his feet on the ground," he concluded.
