Neymar still "psychologically destroyed" after elimination
Neymar, after having a bit of time to think about getting knocked out in the World Cup quarter-finals, came out to speak about it on social media. The Brazil 'star', who scored in his side's loss against Croatia on penalties, is still really hurting after what he considers to be one of the matches to have hurt him the most in his career.
"I'm psychologically destroyed, this was, without doubt, the defeat which has hurt me the most, which left me paralysed for 10 minutes and I then broke down into uncontrollable tears. Unfortunately, it's going to hurt for a while. We fought until the end and I'm proud of my teammates because I can't fault their commitment. The side deserved it, we deserved it, Brazil deserved it...", the number 10 started to write.
"But that's not what God wanted! All the sacrifice was worth it to feel everyone's support on the pitch... Thank you to everyone for your support for the national side. It did not take long for Neymar to receive an influx of love and support in the comments. Most interestingly was one from Brazil legend Pele, whose health problems have been of equal importance as what has been going on for the Brazil side. In fact, the ex-player openly asked Neymar to keep the faith and that he does not retire just yet from the national side.
