Neymar scored and celebrated by mocking his critics

Capable of embarrassing even the world's best defenders on his day, Neymar left a Nimes fan red-faced on Saturday as he doubled his side's lead.

The Parisian giants took the lead just after the half hour mark, but it was Neymar's second that got poeple talking.

Having found the back of the net following good work form defender Thomas Meunier, Neymar made a beeline for the banner which read "Neymar crybaby".

The forward duly put on a sad face and mimicked crying, firmly putting the Nimes fans in their place.

The act came with a clear message: 'I don't care what you think of me'.

Despite being widely considered one of the best players in the world, Neymar has often been criticised for exaggerating fouls and even diving.

Those criticisms reached a head at the World Cup as he failed to produce his best having only just won his race to be fit in time for the tournament.

Neymar is on a misison to prove people wrong, even if that person is a rogue Nimes fan with a barely visible banner.
