Neymar maintained conversations with Manchester United

"There were conversations but nothing was set in stone. There were various rumors [from both English and Spanish media] however a solid offer never arrived to me," explained the footballer.

Regarding this season's objectives, he spoke out about his fight to join teammate Leo Messi in this year's Ballon d'Or ceremony: "I want to evolve season by season to become at least one of the top three finalists, and I hope that it's this year.

"I hope that this season is a dream season for me and the club. I want to continue my hard work and keep on winning trophies." Neymar replied when asked about his goals for this season. 

The Brazilian also recognized that Leo Messi is Barca's star-man, but has the potential to slip up, "Everyone knows that Messi is an amazing footballer, however when he leaves, I'll be ready to take his place."

Finally he took the time to wish a speedy recovery for team mate Rafinha, who was injured during Barcelona's recent Champions League match and will be out for 6 months.
