Although it was assumed that Neymar would not be at this Sunday's game, Tuchel stated that the Brazilian player could me making an appearance.
"Neymar is feeling better and has expressed his desire to return. In recent weeks he has trained on the sidelines, but lately he has been decisive in the training games. He feels better, doesn't have any pain and feels good about hitting the ball", confirmed the German coach.
When a reporter asked Tuchel if he thinks Neymar should change his style of play to avoid being fouled on and recieving so many blows, the German manager responded with an outright and decisive "no".
"The most important thing is that he feels free and happy on the pitch, protected by the referee, and that he plays the way he feels. I hope he keeps his passion for the game. He's a special guy, people pay their way into the stadium to see those kinds of players," he said.
The PSG coach did confirm several absences to face Monaco: Bernat, Meunier, Thiago Silva and Nsoki. However, he did not confirm Cavani, Marquinhos, Di Maria and Neymar's presence for this Sunday's game.
