Nathan Ake will not leave Man City

In England, all news suggests that Nathan Ake was on the way out of Man City. The main reason was that the Dutch central defender lost protagonism under Pep Guardiola last season and was not against bolstering the Chelsea defence. 

However, according to British media outlet 'The Athletic', the Dutch international will not leave the Sky Blues this summer. The player met with the club's board and reached the conclusion that the best option was to stay at the club. 

The main losers are Chelsea whose negotiations intensified in recent days and it seemed like he persuaded the defender. Nevertheless, the West Londoners will have to keep scouring the market in search of a leader in defence. 

Although Ake was not an indisputable starter for the Spanish coach, the central defender played 26 matches last season in which he scored three goals.
