"My only comfort is that he won't remember what he sees in the news the next day"

Jose Maria Enriquez Negreira presented a few months ago, through his lawyer, a medical notice to the 'Unidad de la Policia Judicial' linked with the Prosecutor's Office, in which it stated he had been diagnosed with Alzheimers.
This illness, in some ways, has become a point of solace for his eldest son, Jose Maria Enriquez Romero. Or at least that's what he said in an interview with 'Libertad Digital'.
"The only comfort I have now is that whatever he sees in the news and on television, he will probably forget by the next day", he stated. "My father, in his state didn't really need to declare his condition", he added.
Furthermore, Jose Maria defended the Enriquez Negreira's innocence: "Not having a deal with my father as I would have liked, I'm sticking my neck out to say that everything that has been said isn't true, in regards to the accusations of corruption between individuals, and that my father never would have been able to influence refereeing, because it was his love".
"He has been subjected to a public lynching, solely because he was part of Barcelona. I'm sure they won't be able to prove he's done anything", he finished.
