On the eve of the Champions League quarter-final against Barcelona and the Ligue 1 clash against Clermont, Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique acknowledged that his side's season "looks good", although he warned that "it can go wrong at any moment".
"In school, grades are not given until June. It looks good, but it can go wrong at any moment. As we play in competitions like the ones we have in mind, the difference between winning and losing is very small," said the Spanish coach at the press conference ahead of the league clash against Clermont-Ferrand.
"We are ready, we are where we wanted to be. There is no reason not to be optimistic, but we have to be realistic. It's now when the difficult things start," he added. Luis Enrique avoided as much as possible referring to his Barcelona past, a team he coached for three seasons between 2014 and 2017, but he assured that, now, his home is in Paris.
"I am from Gijon, even my accent shows it. But, now, my home is Paris, my home and my club, the past and the future don't count, what counts is the present. I want to give the maximum for the club that decided to trust me, the objective is to give 100%. But I'm from Gijón, from Asturias, half Catalan and half Spanish," he said.
