Mirandes reinforce defence with ex Milan player Nikos Michelis

CD Mirandes have a new player in their ranks. The Segunda Division club have announced the signing of Nikos Michelis, 21 year old Greek centre back from AC Milan. He has left the Italian club to start a new adventure in Spanish football.

After putting an end to his spell with Asteras Tripolis, Michelis landed in Milan to try his luck in Italian football. However, he was never given the opportunity to play first team football at the San Siro as he was only seen in the Under 19 side. He played in 47 matches for the youth team and scored two goals for them.

Last season, Milan sent the young Greek player to Willem II on loan. He played a total of 13 matches for the Eredivisie side, six of them as a starter.

With no space in the Milan team for him, Michelis has put an end to his three year spell there and is now wanting to try his luck with Mirandes. He has committed himself to the Spanish club for the next three seasons until 30th June 2025.
