Micky van de Ven out for Spurs due to hamstring injury

Tottenham defender Micky van de Ven will be not available until after the November international break, as Ange Postecoglou confirmed ahead of the Premier League clash against Aston Villa on Saturday. The 23-year-old will aim to return for the the league fixture at Man City on November 23rd.

The Dutchman was forced off the pitch after 14 minutes due to a hamstring injury during Tottenham's 2-1 victory over Manchester City in the midweek Carabao Cup fourth-round game. The player was visibly distressed, as he exited the field with tears in his eyes. 

The Spurs boss expressed his disappointment for the blow, though he also reassured that the injury is not too serious. "He was really looking forward to the game, so he's a bit emotional," said Postecoglou during his press conference on Friday.

"It's definitely not as bad as the last one, which kept him out for a while. He will work hard, and fortunately the international break gives us two weeks so, hopefully that means he does not miss too much football."
