Michael Carrick, since he retired as a player at Man Utd in 2018, has been preparing to become a manager.
According to 'Sky Sports', Carrick will shortly become the manager of Championship side Middlesbrough.
At the age of 41, Carrick will become manager of a club for the first time and he hopes to be as successful as he was as a player. He was part of Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's coaching teams at Man Utd and took over for three games as caretaker manager after the latter's sacking. Carrick led his team to a 0-2 win over Villarreal in the Champions League to qualify for the last 16, a draw with Chelsea and 3-2 win over Arsenal.
As a player, Carrick made 481 Premier League appearances in total for Man Utd, Tottenham and West Ham.
