Messi to be a substitute against Bolivia

It looks like the time has come for Messi to rest. The Rosarino, who has been carrying a lot of physical strain, will be a substitute for the match against the Bolivian national team, as reported by 'TyC Sports' journalist Gaston Edul.

"In the last four days, Leo regulated a lot and did not train with the group. The fact that he trained on Monday could mean that he is closer to starting on the bench and then coming on rather than starting and then coming off," said the reporter from the Hernando Siles pitch in La Paz.

It won't be officially known until around 20:00 CET whether the '10' will be a substitute or if he will start. There is great expectation to know what will happen with Leo, who a few days ago underwent tests to rule out a muscle injury.

Messi's big problem is that, in a matter of 48 days, he has played 12 games (11 with Inter Miami and 1 with the 'Albiceleste'), 8 of them without being substituted. He has accumulated a lot of wear and tear and many think that the best option is for him to rest. If confirmed, the last time the Rosarino was on the bench was almost a year ago, in a friendly against Jamaica before the World Cup. In that game he came on in the 55th minute and scored a brace.
