Barcelona's clash with Real Betis saw the return of protagonist Lionel Messi, who had been sidelined with an injury for several weeks.
The Argentine star, despite scoring twice, could not avoid defeat to the 'verdiblanco' side who came away from the Camp Nou with an historic victory.
However, the inclusion of Messi in the game caught Betis coach Quique Setién by surprise.
"I wasn't expecting him to play, but the win means more when Messi is on the pitch", admitted the Cantabrian in a press conference.
But in addition, Setién shared with the press a confession made by the Argentine before the start of the match.
"I spoke to him a minute earlier and told him I wouldn't have put him at risk. He replied that he couldn't take it anymore without playing. We hoped he wouldn't play, but he's very good. We're happy that he's been on the pitch, if we can watch him play, even better," he concluded.
