Messi and Pique gave Barca two-goal lead

Messi was back to his best as he struck the opening goal. Receiving the ball from Dembele, he carved open the defence as he turned three PSV defenders inside-out.

Seeing the space and with the ball on his favoured left foot, the Argentine magician fired an unstoppable effort towards goal, beating Zoet at his near post.

Then, in the 70th minute, Messi turned provider as Pique gave Barca a two-goal cushion.

Messi, stood over a free-kick from 35-yards, looked to float the ball in to the far post. Before it got there, however, Pique stuck his right boot out and prodded the ball towards the far post, confusing Zoet and PSV's defence.
