Barcelona will face Napoli this week in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16, and there's one old acquaintance they won't be looking forward to seeing again.
Manolas left Roma after 36 matches, all as a starter, and two goals, but he will never forget what he did to Barcelona in 2018.
"It's going to be a very difficult match, but we haven't lost it before it starts. We'll do our part and see what happens," said the defender on 'Sky Sport'.
Manolas remembered that night as "very beautiful and important", although he has left it behind and it is a thing of the past. He does however "wish [he] could like through more" like it.
On his next UCL match and the figure of Leo Messi, Kostas Manolas does not think it's all an impossible feat: "When you have in front of the best in the world is normal to be concerned, but no one is unbeatable. We play the game and we'll see what happens in the end."
