McClean withdraws from Ireland squad

The experienced wideman will play no part in either game after suffering a wrist injury.

The Stoke winger sustained the injury in training on Monday, before being taken to hospital for an X-ray and surgery. McClean has 10 goals for Ireland in 59 appearances, including the goal against Wales that sent them through to the World Cup qualifying play-offs.

Brighton´s Shane Duffy and Reading´s David Meyler were both back in Ireland training on Tuesday after missing it the day before, along with Sean McDermott and Jonathan Walters, who returned from club duty.
