Mbappe's injury confirmed: he misses Bayern UCL last 16 clash

Tough blow for PSG. Kylian Mbappe, one of their top stars, will miss the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie against Bayern. His injury will keep him out for three weeks.

This was confirmed by the Parisian club in an official statement, which put an end to doubts about his physical condition: "Following examinations, Kylian Mbappe has suffered an injury to his left thigh at the level of the biceps femoris. He is expected to be unavailable for three weeks.

The French striker was forced to withdraw from Wednesday's Ligue 1 match against Montpellier on a night to forget. After missing the same penalty twice, he had to be substituted in the 21st minute after damaging the thigh of his left leg.

"I've got  injured due to a bad landing. It hurts too much," the striker told the media, which already suggested that his presence in the next few games was in some danger.
