"Mbappe wanted to know if I would go to PSG but I told him Real Madrid was my first choice". These were the words of Aurelien Tchouameni during his official presentation as a Real Madrid player. He admitted that his compatriot wanted him to sign for the Parisian outfit who have just secured Mbappe's presence at the club until 2025.
A few hours after the presentation, the ex Monaco player uploaded his first Instagram post as a Real Madrid player. He captioned it: "Can’t wait to join the team and take a part in the history we’ll make".
Surprisingly, Kylian Mbappe responded to the post in the comments section with a gesture of acceptance despite missing out on having the young footballer play alongside him at PSG. He commented applause emojis underneath Tchouameni's picture and this can be read as Mbappe respecting his compatriot's decision to sign for Madrid.
Both players have been part of France's poor Nations League run during the current international break. The performances have been so poor in fact, that the French team will no longer be able to retain the title this year.
