Striker Maxi Urruti is a new Houston Dynamo player. He arrives at the club on a one season contract from CF Montreal (formerly Montreal Impact).
His arrival in Houston comes about after agreeing a deal with the Canadian side which includes the acquisition of a pick from the second round of the 2022 Draft in exchange for defender Kiki Struna.
Houston Dynamo said in a statement that they will keep part of the money when Struna is sold.
Urruti, who came through the Newell's Old Boys academy, made the move to the MLS in 2013 aged 23. He first played for Toronto FC then for Portland Timbers and FC Dallas. He moved to Montreal in 2018 and there he has scored nine goals and given seven assists in 55 appearances.
