Problems for Mariano Diaz of Real Madrid. The attacker, when the game against Elche was about to finish, suffered a nasty fall which led to him requiring medical assistance.
Madrid's medical team had to put his nose back in place and apply four stitches after he fell face down on the floor as he tried to win the ball off Marcone in the air. The damage he did was not noted by many at the time as the referee blew for full time.
But the attacker will not get time off despite this incident. He may have to be careful in the upcoming training sessions with Carlo Ancelotti to not make his injury worse and be fit for the game. An option is to give him Sunday 31st October off.
Mariano, even though he suffered bad luck when he fell on his face, was key to Real Madrid's victory over Elche. He assisted for the first goal of the game which was the start of the Vinicius' exhibition. The Brazilian scored a brace which means he remains one of Real Madrid's most in form players.
