Man Utd reject £20m West Ham bid for Maguire

Manchester United have come to a cross roads over Harry Maguire. According to 'The Athletic', West Ham United saw a £20 million bid rejected by the Red Devils for the defender on Friday.
Despite being sidelined last season by the Manchester club, making just 16 Premier League appearances, and being stripped of the captaincy earlier this summer, the English international appears to want to stay and fight for his place.
He may come to regret the decision to turn away the Hammers, as the same outlet writes that they are unlikely to bid again, given the size of the defender's salary, and his apparent lack of interest in the transfer.
Under contract at Old Trafford until 2025, Maguire was told earlier this year, following Euro 2024 qualifying games, that his position in the national team may not be guaranteed if he can't get more regular playing time, something a move to West Ham would likely have offered.
The London side are looking to reinforce their squad following the loss of defensive midfielder Declan Rice to Arsenal. United are also looking to sell some players after the signings of Mason Mount from Chelsea and Andre Onana from Inter, which total over £100 million.
