Man Utd and Trabzonspor agree terms for Onana loan

Andre Onana's time at Manchester United could be drawing to a close. Fabrizio Romano reports that Manchester United has reached an agreement with Trabzonspor for the loan of the Cameroonian goalkeeper.
The move hinges on the keeper, who has the final say on his potential switch to Turkey. While the transfer window in Europe's major leagues closed on September 1, the Turkish window remains open until September 12, hence the option arising in Trabzon.
Onana, currently on international duty with Cameroon and who featured against Eswatini, has found himself out of favour at Old Trafford after a series of high-profile errors that contributed to United's overall struggles. He lost his place to Bayindir this season and seemingly sealed his fate with another blunder in the humiliating EFL Cup exit to League Two side Grimsby Town.
Onana's career has been a rollercoaster ride. After a spell in Barcelona's youth ranks, he made his breakthrough with Ajax, where he went from Champions League standout to serving a year-long ban after testing positive for a banned substance in 2021.
In 2022, Inter offered him a lifeline, and he enjoyed a stellar season that earned him a move to Manchester United. However, like the rest of the team, the Cameroonian has struggled individually. During his time, Andre Onana has made 102 appearances for the Red Devils, conceding 150 goals.
