According to 'The Telegraph', Manchester City's financial irregularities hearing could have even more serious consequences. If found guilty of the charges, the Sky Blues could be expelled from all competitions and not just the Premier League.

The process by which Manchester City are accused of up to 115 alleged financial irregularities over the past few years could have serious consequences for the Sky Blues.

The leaked sanctions range from financial fines, sporting sanctions and even expulsion from the Premier League. However, as reported by 'The Telegraph', the punishment could be even greater, leading to disqualification from all competitions.

The British newspaper refers to article 31 of the FA Cup, which states that "where a club has been admitted to participate in the competition but is then eliminated from the league in which it competes, the Professional Game Board (PGB) may remove the club from the competition".

Similarly, in international competitions, the newspaper notes that "if Manchester City is banned from all domestic football, it could find it very difficult to continue playing in the Champions League and the Club World Cup because of the long intervals between matches".

The exact date of the ruling is unknown, although several media outlets have already suggested it could be well into 2025. For the moment, the staff and players are staying on the sidelines, not wanting to enter into assessments.

Even so, the English club have already denied the facts several times and consider that they have a "complete set of irrefutable evidence".
